Jerry Lewis, MD
Dr. Jerry W. Lewis is a native of Oklahoma, and in 1989 graduated from the University of Oklahoma Medical School. In 1993 he completed his residency in anesthesiology with additional training in pain management at the Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas.
Board-certified in both anesthesiology and pain management, he has been in private practice since 1993. Dr. Lewis founded the Pain Center in Sherman, Texas, in 1994. He went on to oversee the day-to-day operations of this center through 1998 before moving to Oklahoma, where he established and ran his own full-time pain management practice. In 2003 he returned to Texas to join Pinnacle Pain Medicine.
Dr. Lewis has experience with a number of pain reduction procedures, including vertebroplasty, which involves the use of surgical cement to stabilize and treat fractured vertebrae. Vertebroplasty can significantly reduce the pain and improve the movement of patients with compression fractures, and is one of many procedures that Dr. Lewis performs on an outpatient basis.
